The third-generation Nissan Qashqai offers premium features such as keyless entry, 15W wireless fast charging, and a cabin audio system co-designed with Bandai, enhancing everyday comfort. The high-fidelity sound system, powered by Arkamys technology, delivers four selectable audio modes for an immersive listening experience. Ergonomic leather seats support 8-way power adjustment with 2-way lumbar support, and come with both ventilation and heating—upholding Nissan’s “Zero Gravity” comfort reputation.
Inside the smart cabin, a 12.3-inch 6-core HD touchscreen runs Nissan Connect 2.0, supporting OTA updates, Wi-Fi hotspot, voice command without wake-up, and continuous recognition. It enables control of media, navigation, calls, air conditioning, sunroof, and seat functions. Remote start, AC control, seat heating, and defrosting add further convenience. Powering the third-generation Nissan Qashqai is the HR13 1.3T turbocharged engine, co-developed with Mercedes-Benz. Featuring centrally mounted direct injection, a variable oil pump, mirror-finished cylinder coating, and an electronically controlled turbo bypass valve, it delivers strong performance while optimizing fuel efficiency and emissions. With a peak torque of 270 Nm and maximum output of 116 kW (158 PS), it outperforms many larger-displacement rivals. Proven reliable, this engine has been installed in over 500,000 vehicles worldwide.
Mated to the engine is the latest XTRONIC CVT transmission, equipped with a dual oil pump system for enhanced responsiveness and fuel economy. Speed-sensing and fast gear ratio adaptation ensure smooth, responsive driving in both urban and high-demand scenarios.
The Qashqai rides on a front MacPherson and rear multi-link suspension setup, developed on the second-generation CMF-CD platform by Renault-Nissan. Enhanced with lightweight high-strength aluminum components, the chassis is more agile and precise. With a class-leading 185mm ground clearance, it handles rough terrain with ease and reduces the risk of underbody damage.
Structurally, the Qashqai demonstrates a deep commitment to safety. Built on a dedicated SUV platform, its body structure includes 34% ultra-high-strength steel and 60% high-strength steel—significantly more than its predecessor. Key body parts like the doors, fenders, and hood feature high-strength aluminum, while a full-frame sub-chassis and reinforced ZONE BODY design improve torsional rigidity by 48%. This robust construction has earned it the prestigious 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
