All-New Dongfeng Nano 06 Electric SUV Launches with Aggressive Styling and Practical Features — Range Performance Under the Spotlight

The Nano 06 shares the same Dongfeng platform as the Nano brand’s first model—the Nano 01 hatchback. In terms of body dimensions, this SUV measures 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width, and 1,645 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm—figures that are on par with models like the Volvo EX30 and the BYD Yuan Up/Atto2.
Unlike the Nano 01, which adopts a “cute” and playful design language, the Nano 06 takes a more aggressive styling approach. It features sharp body lines, bold plastic cladding, fang-shaped LED headlights, and roof rails, giving the vehicle a sporty and rugged appearance.
One of the standout features of the Nano 06 is its unique split-design tailgate. The lower portion opens downward from the side and can even serve as a bench—reportedly capable of supporting more than 150 kg. The trunk offers a generous 500-liter capacity, fully meeting the storage needs of daily commuting and travel.
Inside, the Nano 06 continues to impress. The cabin is equipped with a dual-spoke steering wheel, a narrow-bezel instrument cluster screen, and a large-format multimedia touchscreen, forming a clean, high-tech center console. Additional features such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) further enhance both convenience and safety.
On the performance side, the Nano 06 will be powered by a front-mounted electric motor delivering up to 184 horsepower. While detailed battery specifications have yet to be officially announced, based on the configuration of the Nano 01, the Nano 06 is expected to offer multiple battery options to accommodate varying range requirements. The Nano 01 provides a CLTC-rated range of 310 to 430 km, and the Nano 06 is anticipated to deliver a comparable performance.
With its compelling blend of competitive features and pricing, the Nano 06 is set to capture the attention of global consumers seeking value and innovation in the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment.
